Loyalties Chapter 1

"SIT!" Kagome screamed as she stood up.
Inuyasha felt the tug of the beads around his neck pull him down swiftly to the ground.
"SIT SIT SIT SIT SIT!" She repeated before she stormed off.
Sango looked into the newly formed crater and said "You should've just thanked her and kept your mouth shut Inuyasha." Sango sighed and looked at Miroku who was now staring into the hole with Shippo on his head.
"I'm so glad I don't have anything like that.." Miroku said as Shippo hopped down to follow after Kagome. "Better not go near her Shippo. She is gonna need to burn off some steam. She'll come back just stay here."
Shippo stared after Kagome. "What if she gets hurt?"
"She won't there aren't many demons around here. None that are powerful enough to cause her any kind of problems." Sango said.
Inuyasha sat up slowly in the crater and looked up. That crazy bitch.."WHY'D SHE DO THAT?!"
Sango looked down again and sighed. "You need to be more aware of what you say Inuyasha."
Miroku wandered toward the tree and sat in the shade. "You best just stay there for a while Inuyasha. She'll be back. Just think for a little bit and calm down. If you go to her before you do, you'll just end up in another crater."
Inuyasha scoffed and crossed his arms "Well fine. If she gets lost I'm not looking for her. And I'm not apologizing first either." Sango and Miroku rolled their eyes.
Suddenly Sango looked around "Where's Shippo?"
Miroku sighed. "He probably followed Kagome. Oh well, maybe she'll calm down if she's with Shippo."

~Twenty minutes later.~

"WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM!?" Kagome shouted as she walked through the woods angrily. "I worked so hard on that scarf for him and he just went and ripped it up..." She sat down on the ground under a tree and pulled out the ripped pieces that she had grabbed from him. Feeling her heart rise to her throat,the tears in her eyes couldn't be stopped. A small sound escaped from her lips as she began to cry. She buried her face into the scarf and cried. "That jerk.. I hate him.. I hate him so much.."

"Who do you hate?" A small, silvery voice said.
Kagome jumped and looked up in front of her. She looked at the small girl with long dark hair wearing an orange and yellow checkered kimono.
Staring at her, Kagome was speechless. "Hello ? Are you okay? Master Jaken!" the girl said.
"What now you troublesome child-- Oh my! Wench where is Inuyasha! Is he not nearby?!" Jaken said as he crouched behind the little girl.
Jaken? Wait this is Sesshomaru's Ward, Rin..And if Jaken is nearby then so is..
"What's going on." said a deep, cold and emotionless voice from the bushes.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" Rin shouted as she ran over to the tall frightening demon.
"Rin. Jaken." Sesshomaru looked at the pathetic girl sitting on the floor crying into sliced up bits of cloth. What is she doing..She shouldn't be alone in here. But what do I care. "We're leaving." The demon turned and walked back the way he had come.
"Yes Milord!" Jaken said obediently and followed.
Rin began to walk but then stopped, picked up a small wildflower, ran over to Kagome and dropped it into her lap.  "Don't cry please? I'm sure it'll all be alright." She said before she turned and ran into the brush. Kagome smiled and wiped her eyes I will never come to understand their friendship. She thought to herself.
